The ability of lasers to treat a wide range of skin concerns and deliver visible and lasting results has made me a firm believer in the technology.
I’ve been using lasers since 2015 when improvements to skin health through the use of lasers led me to pursue an education in laser science. I began as a licensed practitioner in laser radio frequency, and intense pulsed light (IPL), soon adding laser hair reduction and body sculpting services.
Laser technology has advanced light years (pardon the pun) since its early skin care inception
I’m proud to say that through research and continuing education I’ve kept pace with laser technology. I understand the importance of having the latest, most effective laser therapies available and chose the BBL (BroadBand Light) laser system which is built in Palo Alto California, an internationally recognized company that has been building lasers for 25+ years.
Our laser techniques are recognized for producing optimum results year after year in surveys and polls
Our high performance laser system produces the broadest range of wavelengths on the market to deliver a wide variety of customizable treatment applications for head-to-toe skin transformation.
The ability of lasers to improve aged skin is well known and universally accepted.
Our laser system treats the following concerns
Sun damaged and aging face and body skin Photo thermal energy eliminates fine vessels that cause redness and reduces unwanted melanin which produces dark spots, freckles, facial veins, redness and Rosacea. Your skin will feel smoother, pores will be less noticeable and uneven pigmentation will fade.
Acne (without the side effects of pharmaceuticals) A three step system destroys acne-causing bacteria, reduces inflammation and redness, and makes way for clear, healthy skin.
• Step 1 delivers BLUE light into the skin, attacking acne bacteria
• Step 2 delivers YELLOW light, which reduces active inflammatory acne while preventing new breakouts and reducing the appearance of scars
• Step 3 delivers infra-red light in rapid, gentle pulses to initiate the body’s natural healing process and to enhance the benefits of the first two steps.
Permanent hair reduction Using motion technology to deliver a low fluency in multiple pulses, this laser treatment protects the skin while progressively raising the follicle temperature to the optimal level for hair removal.
Sagging skin laxity This treatment uses infra-red light to deeply heat dermal collagen, while a sapphire contact cooling platform protects the epidermis. The treatment initiates the body’s natural healing process which leads to a more youthful appearance and reduction in the appearance of lax, sagging skin.
How laser works
Laser therapy involves the reduction of aging using non-invasive pulses of BroadBand Light (BBL). BBL delivers a broad spectrum of wavelengths to gently heat various layers of your skin to regenerate your skin cells. Your skin absorbs this light energy, which stimulates your body’s production of collagen. Collagen is a protein that helps give structure to your skin.
What happens during treatment?
During your initial consultation, a clinician will examine your skin to determine which areas to target. Then they’ll create a treatment plan involving multiple laser therapy sessions.
Treatments usually last around 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
During the procedure, the clinician will apply a cooling gel to the treatment area and possibly a topical anesthetic. You’ll wear safety goggles to protect your eyes.
You may experience sensations, pulses and mild pain. Your skin may feel slightly warm and appear slightly red, swollen, or sunburned.
You can expect to see visible changes to your skin within a few days or weeks of your first treatment. As you continue treatments, you will notice more significant changes.
Preparing for your procedure
Before your treatment, you need to prepare your skin. It’s important that your skin is not tanned. Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for 4 to 6 weeks before and after each session.
Don’t use sunless tanner for at least 2 weeks before your treatment. For at least 1 week before your treatment, avoid waxing, chemical peels, and products containing retinol, salicylic acid, or glycolic acid.
Talk with your doctor to make sure it’s safe to stop taking any prescribed medications that cause extreme sensitivity to UV light. If you have frequent cold sores, your doctor may prescribe an antiviral medication a few days before your session.
If you have insurance, know that BBL is usually not covered. It may be helpful to arrange a payment plan ahead of time.
After your treatment, you’ll be able to get home from your appointment on your own and resume your daily activities. For at least 48 hours following treatment, avoid anything that causes sweating or flushing. This includes exercise, hot temperatures, and saunas. Refrain from consuming alcohol and spicy foods.
After your treatment
After your treatment you may feel burning, redness, and warmth that’s similar to a sunburn. This discomfort usually only lasts a few hours, but it can continue for a few days. To relieve swelling and discomfort, apply a cold compress to the affected area for 10 to 20 minutes at a time.
In the week following your first treatment, you may notice pigment coming to the surface of your skin. It’s also common to experience redness, peeling, and swelling. Dark spots and freckles may darken before fading and flaking off over time, usually within 1 to 3 weeks.
After treatment, avoid:
• exfoliants
• topical acne treatments
• scented skin care products
When washing the affected area, use lukewarm water and avoid hot or cold water. Don’t use a loofah or scrub your skin. Gently apply nonirritating skincare products and avoid scratching, rubbing, or picking your skin.

Laser treatments have has become one of the most popular procedures in the U.S. based on customer satisfaction, lack of recovery time and reasonable cost per treatment.
Lasers have both the ability to keep your skin healthy and delay the signs of skin aging.
I believe it’s the ultimate way to turn back time.
