A nursing career that led to beauty and wellness
Stacy Davidson’s (Owner, Medical Director, Medically Yours Medi Spa) career in healthcare began as an apprentice midwife in Texas where she attended over 150 births before she was 20 years old! The desire for additional education, led to working as a nursing assistant while attending nursing school.
After graduation, she worked in pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplants at a children's medical center and later as a supervisor at a children’s rehabilitation center while continuing her education and receiving a Bachelor Degree of Science in Nursing, then Master Degree and licensure as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
A move to Arizona and Medically Yours was born
In 2000 Stacy moved to Arizona for a leadership position at Verde Valley Medical Center and through the years held various positions, including Director of Pediatric and Medical Surgical Nursing, Director of Obstetrics, Women's and Newborn Care, Surgical Services Nurse, and Research Nurse.
An interest in wellness/aesthetics kicked off Stacy working on weekends providing those services in a primary care setting to a growing clientele. Stacy became more and more interested in integrated body health and wellness and, after much research, in 2007, in collaboration with Salon Virtu, her husband's hair salon, and with her MSN, APRN credentials, opened Medically Yours as their Medical Director.
Laser skin treatments – an exciting next step
In 2015, improvements to the health of the skin through the use of lasers led to her pursuing an education in laser science. She began as a licensed practitioner in laser radio frequency, and intense pulsed light (IPL), soon adding laser hair reduction and body sculpting services.
Stacy’s interest in the growing field of neuroimmunology led to certification as a sound therapist.
She now provides customized sound therapies for clients interested in reaching their highest wellness potential using a Bio-Tuning System which heals the body and mind through the scientific application of sound.
Today, Medically Yours is a full-service medical spa, offering everything from botox, fillers and facials to full laser resurfacing and body sculpting.
Stacy states, “Aging gracefully requires you to intentionally take care of both yourself and your skin. My goal is to significantly slow down the aging process with the most advanced procedures currently available. In this journey, I am most proud of the fact that I have stayed true to my passion to integrate both health and beauty as integral aspects of rejuvenation. And I’m extremely thankful to the people of Sedona and the Verde Valley for the love and support they have shown us in embracing this philosophy.
